“Art is the language of the soul, and the soul beats with heritage.” With these words, we find ourselves immersed in an artistic experience that connects past and present, southern heritage and contemporary art. From the belief that “folk arts can serve as an entry point to contemporary visual arts,” this concept is embodied in the works of visual artist Mervat Shazly Helaly, whose extended artistic vision blends authenticity with creativity to create a more simplified and contemporary visual experience. Through small-format pieces—an artistic technique that holds great value despite their size—her work becomes a symbol of identity and heritage.
In this exhibition, we explore how heritage can inspire contemporary art, and how art can act as a bridge linking generations and cultures. It opens a window into a world of colors and symbols that harmonize with the spirit of folk tradition, inviting us to contemplate the beauty of art and heritage.

وهذا ما تجسده أعمال الفنانة التشكيلية مرفت شاذلي هلالي، خلال رؤية فنية ممتدة ، تدمج بين الأصالة والإبداع، لخلق تجربة بصرية اكثر تبسيط و معاصرة عبر مساحات صغيرة تعد امتداد لتجاربها و بحثها في التشكيل البصرى.حيث اللوحة القطع الصغيرة هي تقنية فنية معتمدة كقيمه كبيرة رغم صغرها . لتكون رمزًا للهوية والتراث.
